Peek Inside Our Classroom

Almost everyday we have a camera set up on a tripod in our classroom.  Every so often, the camera is turned on and it captures what is happening in our classroom. This clip happens to be from the end of the 2012-13 school year.  Our class was learning about worm hole theories, and working on a math probelm from the Math Pickle website.

These clips are from our classroom's Harlem Renaissance inspired poetry slam.  After studying the 1920's, 1930's, and completing a poetry unit- we tranformed our classroom into "The Lopesided Cafe" complete with mood lighting and Miles Davis.   We then invited the other classroom over for some poetry fun!  Our poetry slam took place in April 2014.

In February, March, and April 2014, our classroom was conducting an alternative enrgy unit.  The first clip is one of the first lessons in the unit on hoovercrafts and compressed air as energy.  The second clip is of our handmade, wind/air powered boats we were testing for distance.  Later we modified the construction of our boats until they would travel the greatest distance possible.
